“Sully” to be played at Milton Public Library on Tuesday, June 20th

On Tuesday, June 20th starting promptly at 6:30 p.m., our “Tuesday Night at the Movies” pick this month will be “Sully” which stars Tom Hanks, Aaron Eckhart and Laura Linney.  The main character – Captain Chesley “Sully” Sullenberger – tells a true story about how he and his co-pilot began a routine flight on January 15, 2009 that turned terrifying.  Sully pulled off the impossible and glided his disabled plane onto the frigid waters of the Hudson River, saving the lives of all 155 aboard.  Even though he was heralded for his unprecedented feat of aviation skill, an all-out investigation threatened to destroy Sully’s reputation and career.   The movie is rated PG-13 for “some peril and brief strong language,” and the running time is only 96 minutes.  Please come and enjoy this great film if you have not seen it.

All of these programs will be held in the Keys Community Room unless otherwise noted here, and they are sponsored by the Friends of the Milton Public Library.  They are free and open to the public, and  the Milton Public Library is located at 476 Canton Avenue.  You can go to our website: www.miltonlibrary.org or call (617) 698-5757, x. 3 and ask for Jean Hlady, Adult Services Librarian, for more information about them.
