History of jewelry event to be held at Eustis Estate

When: Saturday, October 7, 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
Where: Eustis Estate, 1424 Canton Avenue, Milton

Discover the fascinating history of jewelry from 1700 to today at this half-day workshop. Using Historic New England’s extensive jewelry collection, along with short lectures illustrated with paintings, photographs, and other materials, Associate Curator Laura Johnson reveals how jewelry was made and worn. From costume jewelry to fine gold and diamonds, this workshop offers a unique opportunity to see and learn about these wearable works of art.

The price is $25 for Historic New England members and $40 for nonmembers.
