Milton Public Library to show French production “Chartres – Light Reborn”

Documentary chronicles the restoration of the Chartres Cathedral

On Tuesday, August 14th, there will be a showing of the wonderful documentary film called “Chartres – Light Reborn” which chronicles the restoration of the Chartres Cathedral. The film’s length is 52 minutes and this free screening will start at 6:30 p.m., after an introduction about the project by Milton resident Enid Gamer. This French production, with English subtitles, is rated as suitable for all audiences. The cleaning and restoration process shown lets you see a beautiful cathedral we could not have otherwise imagined. The walls and statues are now in their original color, and are full of light let in by the restored windows. Please join us for a very interesting and educational program.
