Learn how to use Ancestry.com database at Milton Public Library

Family history expert and former Boston Public Library staff member Linda MacIver will be back, teaming with our tech librarian Chris Callaghan, to teach a 2-part Ancestry.com workshop to learn about this database available at the Library. Part 1 will happen on Monday, September 10th, and Part 2 is scheduled for Monday, September 17th, both from 7:00 p.m. – 8:30 p.m., in the lower level Conference Room. You will learn more about how to do genealogy research with this version of the database, designed specifically for in-library use. Sign up at our website to attend both hands-on sessions – registration is required and begins on August 27th. This class is limited to 10 people and laptops will be provided. You need to attend Part 1 in order to also join Part 2. It is strongly suggested that attendees are comfortable with Windows-based PCs and have worked on a pedigree chart either in paper or an electronic family tree. If you have questions about these 2 programs, contact Chris at [email protected].
