Friends of Milton Crew Inc to host 2019 Erg-a-thon Fundraiser

Erg-a-thon Fundraiser to be held this Saturday, May 11

Friends of Milton Crew Inc will be hosting an Erg-a-thon Fundraiser this Saturday, May 11 from 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. at the Milton High School Field House.

• Calling on all people in Milton who have rowed in HS, college, and beyond…
• Calling all people who have an interest in rowing
• Calling all people who row on a rowing machine (ERG) at the gym
• Come one, come all to this really fun event that will get you and fellow Milton rowers together to support this wonderful organization. It’ll be a friendly competition!

What’s an ergathon?

• Everyone will be divided into predetermined teams, you will know your team prior to the event.
• Each team will be given 4 ergs.
• All ergs start with 5000m, teams will race to get all 4 of their ergs down to zero.
• Teams can decide how and when to place individual rowers on ergs and can switch positions any time but everyone must have a turn rowing.
• Results are tracked by combining overall time of all 4 ergs and bonus time earned.

Prizes: A trophy will be awarded to overall winning team based on total time, minus bonus time earned.
