Work will begin on Monday, March 29, and will continue through April 2021

Sidewalks within the work area will be temporarily closed during reconstruction operations

The Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT) is announcing that it will be conducting demolition and reconstruction operations on the existing sidewalks and curbs from Adams Street through to Boulevard Street in Milton. The work will begin on Monday, March 29, 2021, and is scheduled to continue through April 2021.

The work will begin on the Adams Street south sidewalk west of Bryant Avenue and will then move south to the southwest corner of Bryant Avenue and Boulevard Street. The sidewalks will be closed for the duration of the work.

Signage will provide pedestrian detours allowing for ADA-compliant pedestrian access to the Post Office and other businesses at all times. The sidewalk and curb improvements are part of the construction operations for the East Milton Square bridge deck project.
