Brian Foster and Vanessa Johnson Foster announce candidacies for Town Meeting Members, Precinct 5

We are Brian Foster and Vanessa Johnson Foster, and we are pleased to announce our candidacies for Town Meeting Members in Precinct 5. Our family has lived in Milton for 17 years, and we are proud to call this community home. We have two children who attend Tucker Elementary School.

Brian Foster is an alumni of The College of the Holy Cross and is currently the Head of Total Rewards, HR Operations and Systems in the bio pharma industry. He recently served on the Warrant Committee for three years, during which time he worked on both the Education and the Parks & Rec subcommittees. This experience has given Brian a deep understanding of priority budgeting, responsible fiscal growth & development, and the procedures of Milton Town Government.

Vanessa Foster completed her education at Boston University, and holds a Master’s Degree in Secondary Education with a specialty in Character Education. She taught high school in Boston Public Schools for 10 years before transitioning to her current career as a real estate agent with The Foster/Harrington Team at Coldwell Banker Realty- Milton. She has volunteered in many roles throughout the town, including as a board member of the Tucker PTO, the current President of the Friends of the Milton Library, a member of the strategy group for the Milton Anti-Racist Coalition, and as a parent advisor for the Milton Early Childhood Association. Her experience as a teacher, a Realtor, a mother, and a community member has inspired her to continue to invest her time into making Milton the top-notch community it is.

As a family, we value our community. We are committed to serve as Town Meeting Members to amplify the voices of our neighbors. We support equitable growth and town planning, and believe strongly that one of our greatest town assets lies in a school system that supports academic rigor, fosters a sense of belonging and inclusion, and promotes family engagement.
