Hands-on workshop: Email Basics to take place Nov. 1 at Milton Public Library

During the month of November, the Milton Public Library is offering some entertaining and educational programs for adults and families.  As part of a technology grant, there will be two in person programs offered to help people improve their Email and Internet Safety knowledge, both happening in the Keys Community Room and taught by Librarian Regan Mulcahy.

The first class is called:  “Hands-on workshop: Email Basics” to be held on Tuesday, 11/1, at 12:30 p.m.    This workshop is for those new to using Email, or who want to build more confidence using it. We will be using Gmail, one of the most common Email platforms. You will create a Gmail account, and learn how to perform basic Email functions, such as sending, receiving, and replying. We will learn to recognize and deal with spam, organize and delete Emails, and search for messages.

All of these programs are kindly sponsored by our Friends group, are free and open to the public, and some events are also supported by those grant-making agencies mentioned above and by Sustainable Milton.  For more information about any program, please Email [email protected] or call the Reference Dept. at (617) 898-4964.  We encourage you to come visit us for a fun event in November!
