Amy Robins announces candidacy for re-election to Milton Town Meeting, Precinct 6

My husband and I chose to move to Milton in 2010 when our daughter was starting kindergarten.  Milton offered an exceptional school district, proximity to Boston, beautiful public spaces and historic sites, and diversity – all qualities we valued in a place we would call home.  We have raised our two children here while making close friends and enjoying the many benefits of living in East Milton.  Both of our children attended Cunningham and Pierce and are now at Milton High.   I am especially proud to note that our daughter is a member of the MHS class of 2023 and is headed to college in the fall.

In my professional life, I am the Director of Advocacy for a national non-profit that is addressing our nation’s healthcare workforce crisis. I began my career working as a Congressional aide, a foundational experience that set the stage for my interest in policy advocacy and government relations.  I’ve worked in the public, non-profit, and for-profit/start-up sectors and I’ve run my own business.  Throughout my career, I have focused on addressing pressing challenges in healthcare and related fields.  I hold a bachelor’s from Wesleyan University in Middletown, CT and a Master of Public Administration from the Evans School at the University of Washington in Seattle, WA.

I decided to run for Town Meeting in 2017 because I was looking for a way to become more involved in our town, and I have been honored to be elected 3 times.  I am running for re-election because we have more important issues ahead. I look forward to being an engaged partner with the residents of Precinct 6 as we find the best possible solutions for our town going forward.

I would be honored to receive your vote for Town Meeting for Precinct 6 on Tuesday April 25th!
