Kate Middleton announces candidacy for Milton Town Meeting Member, Precinct 2

I am Kate Middleton, P2 Town Meeting candidate. I loved growing up in P2 and often joke that I moved back here to raise my kids because we have such a great trick-or-treating neighborhood. That is partly true, but doesn’t even begin to define what makes our area so wonderful. We are surrounded by natural beauty and also can jump on the T in minutes. Neighbors chat outside or meet at Shields Park. We have access to some magnificent bird watching just by walking down to Turner’s. We’ve benefited from nearby changes, like the Neponset River trail extending close to our backyards and Steel and Rye bringing a place to grab a drink with friends right down the street. I love P2; I would be honored to have your vote and let my voice be heard in our Town Meeting.

• Northeastern University (I work at a writing program there)

…or just from walking around the neighborhood (usually with binoculars).

I am an enthusiastic supporter of Milton Public Schools and the people who make them function every day, partly due to my background in classroom teaching and current role in education, and partly due to feeling amazed that we are lucky enough to have such smart and dedicated people fully invested in our children. I am an abutter to the MBTA and a trolley lover. I believe that a town is made of the people in it today, and that our town stays healthy by adapting and making the right kinds of changes. P2 neighbors, please consider voting for me.
