POLL RESULTS: What is your most pressing concern for 2019 Town-Wide Candidates?

There is always a great deal of discussion in Milton Neighbors about current town issues.

We asked in a recent poll: “What’s the most pressing issue for you, and why?”

Here are the results:

Schools, budgets, overcrowding: 45%

Development: 30%

Traffic/Pedestrian Safety: 25%

“Creating an inclusive and welcoming community celebrating cultural/racial diversity [as a top concern].”

“[Development], as it relates to the placement of Affordable Housing in the Indian Cliffs neighborhood.”

“We simply need better town management that focuses on improving commercial potential wherever we can to provide more retail, business space and services to increase the tax base while looking at budget controls such as the enormous amounts of overtime accrued last year. Also it would be a very poor decision to hire as town CFO unless required to be a community resident. Bottom line run the town more like a business leader to achieve the needed revenue to support the schools and family needs first. Progress can be difficult but not taking reasonable actions will be even worse.”
