Open Discussion March 1, 2016:

Ned Corcoran is hosting a meeting on Tuesday March 1st at 6:30 at the Milton Public Library to discuss the Ice House Property.

All residents are invited to attend.

A proposed development of the Ice House property, at 487 Blue Hills Parkway, is currently underway.

The plan calls for a two buildings, one a combined market/cafe/office space building of 12,400 square feet, and the other a bank of 4,000 square feet. The property would also contain 65 parking spaces.

The developer also plans to create an enhanced connection to the Pope’s Pond area with outdoor seating, and a walking path connecting to Pine Tree Brook Path, as well as “walkability” from neighborhoods west of the pond.

The property met with a great deal of opposition from residents at the February 9th Town Meeting.
