Doug Scibeck announces candidacy for Library Trustee and Town Meeting Member, Precinct 7

My name is Doug Scibeck and I am proud to announce that I am running for Town Meeting Member for Precinct 7 and also for Library Trustee. I want to represent my neighbors because I have heard the concerns about what happens in our town that affect our daily lives.

From the issue of traffic enforcement and parking problems, to responsible commercial development East Milton and Milton as a whole face significant challenges. As a member of the Executive Board of the East Milton Neighborhood Association I have worked to make town government know the thoughts of the neighborhood on these matters. As a Town Meeting Member I want to work on your behalf to bring about the effective solutions that best suit the needs of the residents and businesses of Milton.

My partner, Kelle, and I are honored to call Milton our home. My children, Lucas and Lucy, attend Collicot school and are active in town sports. For all that we have benefited by being a part of this vibrant, caring community, I want to give back to Milton. Having recently been appointed to the town’s Cultural Council this election offers the chance to contribute more. That is why I am running for Town Meeting Member. I am a writer and am also on the ballot running for Milton Public Library Trustee. In both of these roles I hope to bring new ideas to our town’s problems so that the voice of our neighborhood is heard and heeded.
