Nora Harrington announces candidacy for Town Meeting Member, Precinct 3
Dear Milton Neighbors and Friends,
I’m excited to announce that I’m running for Town Meeting Member and I hope to be an active and available representative for my fellow neighbors. My interests include helping to maintain and improve upon our high-quality schools, preserving the natural beauty of our environment, and working to identify appropriate commercial development that can add to our tax base while making Milton an even more desirable place to live.
In my professional life, I’m the COO of a large behavioral health group. Prior to that, I worked for a number of social service organizations in Boston– and worked on such issues as affordable housing, elder services, domestic violence, and public health.
I have a many years of experience developing and reviewing budgets and raising money for important causes. In my current role as the COO of a group mental health practice with over 60 employees (and growing), I oversee administration and operations– and am constantly striving to improve operations and client care, while also helping to make our company a great place to work.
My partner, Andi, and I chose Milton as our home both because we love the quiet, friendly vibe of the town and also because of Milton’s great schools. We have two children at the Glover School and have been very happy with our experience there. As a Town Meeting Member, I want to help ensure that our schools (and the school committee) get the support they need to continue to be such a positive force in the lives of Milton families.
I hope that you’ll consider voting for me as one of your Town Meeting Members. I promise to bring my energy, enthusiasm, and experience to help make Milton an even better place to live.
