The Town of Milton will begin roadway reconstruction on School Street (Between Central Avenue and Randolph Avenue), Canton Avenue (Between School Street and Reedsdale Road), and Brook Road (Between Cape Cod Lane and Reedsdale Road).

Construction will begin with School Street commencing Tuesday June 14th at 7:00 AM, and Canton Avenue and Brook Road to start Wednesday June 15th at 7:00 AM. Initial construction will involve milling the existing roadway surfaces. Once the milling operation is completed, a leveling course of asphalt will be applied to the scarified roadways. Final paving of the roadways will occur later in the summer, after the Town’s sidewalk contractor has completed his work, where applicable.

During this initial work, these roadways will remain open to at least one-way traffic at all times, and access will always be available for residents. Police details will be onsite to direct local traffic and assist the construction crews. Street parking will be prohibited during all roadway construction, 7am to 5pm. We will continue to update our website (www.townofmilton.org/) as this work continues. If you have any questions or concerns, please call the Department of Public Works – Engineering at (617) 898-4900.
