Mary Hiss announces candidacy for Town Meeting Member for Precinct 3

My husband Bob and I have lived in Milton since 1998 and are the proud parents of three Milton schooled children; Griffith (USAFA grad in 2016), Elizabeth (Columbia/Sciences PO grad in 2017) and Eliot (Milton High School grad to be in 2021).

As an active Milton resident and town volunteer, I have:

  • Served as Milton Public Library Trustee and chaired the most recent Search Committee for our current Director, Will Adamczyk
  • Participated in the recent Town Administrator Search Committee for which the Selectmen hired Michael Dennehy
  • Co-led Girl Scout troop #7433 from kindergarten through senior year with a Gold award recipient (Elizabeth Hiss)
  • Worked (and am still serving) as a board member of the Forbes House Museum

I am a Vestry member for St. Michael’s Episcopal Church and an active member (and former Treasurer) of the Milton Garden Club.

Outside Milton, I am employed as the Vice President for Compensation (Partners HealthCare System) and volunteer as a docent for the MFA.

I will ensure that the voice of our precinct is clearly heard in Town Meeting – where I will consistently participate in all meetings, obtain input from Precinct 3 residents, and vote knowledgeably and responsibly on the issues facing Milton.

On April 25, 2017, I respectfully ask for your vote for Town Meeting member for Precinct #3. Thank you.
