The public is invited to the Milton Rotary Club, Abby Park restaurant 550 Adams Street, on Wednesday, May 31 at 12:15 p.m. to hear a presentation from Jamie L. Banks, Ph.D., who holds a doctorate in health economics and social policy,  and is the Executive Director of Quiet Communities of Lincoln, Massachusetts.

Quiet Communities, Inc. is a tax-exempt 501(c)(3) organization providing education and outreach on environmental and health issues related to gas powered outdoor maintenance practices and on quieter, more sustainable, healthier solutions.

In recent years proposals to regulate the level of amplified music, and the noise from building construction have surfaced at Town Meeting, which have been referred to the Board of Selectmen for further study.

Ms . Banks will speak about what Quiet Communities has accomplished over the past months.  If you’re interested in coming, please contact the club secretary, [email protected]. We ask for a $15 charge to cover lunch.
