“Women in World Jazz – International Music from Around the Globe” to perform at Milton Public Library

The second musical event this Fall – which is perfect for listeners of all ages – will happen on Saturday, October 21st starting at 2:00 p.m., with a unique band called “Women in World Jazz – International Music from Around the Globe.” This all-female ensemble offers a multi-cultural experience which blends entertainment and education.  The group brings together women of different nationalities with extensive experience in performance.  The music is easy to relate to, diverse and engaging.  All members of the group are accomplished musicians playing a varied repertoire, ranging from jazz to world/ethnic.  There will be songs and pieces from the U.S., Cuba, Brazil, Cape Verde, Japan, and the Middle East presented to our audience.  Come and bring the whole family to this fun concert!

All of these programs are kindly sponsored by the Friends of the Milton Public Library, and the concert series is also supported by the Milton Woman’s Club.  They are free and open to the public, and will be held in the Keys Community Room unless otherwise specified.  Please come and enjoy our library’s happenings this October.  For more information, go to our website  or contact Jean Hlady, Adult Services Librarian, at 617-698-5757, x. 3.
