The Milton scene recently took the following poll:

Will you run for a Town of Milton position in 2018?

40% of respondents said: Yes, I plan on running.

60% of respondents said: No, I do not plan on running.

Typically, nomination papers are due around the first week of March. This year’s Annual Town Election will be held on April 24, 2018.

This year, Milton’s Board of Selectmen will increase from three to five members.

Other elected official positions open up in 2018, including:

  • Four Board of Selectmen members
  • Town Clerk
  • Town Assessor
  • Two School Committee members
  • One Park Commissioner
  • One Board of Health member
  • Two Library Trustees
  • One Cemetery Trustee
  • One Housing Authority member
  • One Planning Board member

Several Town Meeting Member seats will also open up in 2018.
