Forbes House Museum to host free event in conjunction with exhibit, “Massachusetts’ Help to Ireland During the Great Famine”

Event to take place TONIGHT at Milton Public Library

TONIGHT at 7:00 p.m., join the Forbes House at the Milton Public Library for a free event offered in conjunction with our special temporary exhibit, “Massachusetts’ Help to Ireland During the Great Famine.” Author Ellen Alden will be speaking about her book, “Yours Faithfully, Florence Burke.” This historic fiction novel is based on letters Ms. Alden found written by her great-great-grandfather who escaped the Irish Famine in 1848 and went on to serve in the Union Army during the Civil War.

This program is being generously supported by a grant from the Milton Junior Woman’s Club.
