Zachary Christman announces candidacy for Milton Town Meeting

Zachary Christman to represent Precinct One

Zachary (Zach) Christman today announced that, for the first time, he will run for a Milton Town Meeting Committee seat, representing Precinct One in Milton. Zach has received the required support from the community and will officially be placed on the ballot on April 30, 2019.

Zach, a residential real estate broker with Hammond Residential Real Estate, joined the Milton Community in 2017. Zach decided to run for a seat on the Town Meeting Committee after learning of the overcrowding issues facing the public schools following the influx of younger families to Milton in recent years.

“I knew I needed to get involved with the Milton community in this capacity after learning of some of the current overcrowding challenges that Milton is facing– with a young daughter who, in just a few years, will be entering the public school system – I want to be active when it comes to figuring out solutions to address this and related issues,” said Zach. “Additionally, as a real estate professional serving the Greater Boston community, I have seen many other cities and towns experience the same challenges—and opportunities—presented by rapid population growth, and I am excited to share some of the lessons learned and innovative strategies other towns have adopted with this community. I am eager to make new connections in my community and work with my neighbors to ensure that Milton continues to be one of the most desirable places to live in Massachusetts.”

Zach began his real estate career at Centre Reality Group in Newton and most recently served as an agent at Sotheby’s Unlimited in Brookline before re-affiliating with Hammond Residential. Prior to making the move over to real estate, Zach spent several years working as the Athletic Director for the Boys & Girls Club in Woburn, and before that was a special education teacher in the Wellesley and Newton Public Schools during which time he also supervised a camp for disabled youth. Zach volunteers at several local nonprofit organizations, including Community Servings and Cradles 2 Crayons. It is from these experiences, combined with his unwavering commitment, patience and pragmatic approach, that Zach is uniquely positioned to advocate for his community’s goals.
