The Milton Contributory Retirement Board is seeking applicants for the 5th Board Member position.
The 5th Board Member will be elected by the other four Retirement Board Members for a three year term.
The 5th Member works with the other four members to ensure that the Retirement System is run in accordance with MGL Chapter 32 as well as local board procedures and policies.
The 5th Member is required to complete 18 hours of education training during the three year term and to file an Annual Statement of Financial Interest every year with Public Employees Retirement Administration Commission.
The Milton Contributory Retirement meets once a month, generally the fourth Thursday of each month at 3:30 p.m. with additional special meeting as needed. The monthly Board Meetings are held in Milton Town Hall in the Cronin Room.
Applicants for the 5th Member cannot be an employee, retiree, member of the Milton Retirement System or an official of the town of Milton or any of its governmental units.
