Milton Art Center safe, for now

The Milton Art Center had been selected as a potential location for a new fire station, per the Fire Space Needs Committee, resulting in dismay from the Milton community and a petition, currently signed by 384 individuals.

For now, the Milton Art Center (MAC) has been assured by the Milton Town Administrator, that the Board of Selectmen, who make the decision on the use of the building, are not going to accept the recommendation from the Fire Space Needs Committee to use the MAC location for a fire station.

The MAC has removed the names of the selectmen from the petition. The MAC plans to close the petition once they hear from the Fire Space Needs committee that they agree with the Board of Selectmen that an alternate location is needed.
