Street tree planting lottery announcement

Thanks to a very generous gift from The Copeland Foundation, the Town of Milton is initiating a new program that will result in the planting of approximately fifty new public shade trees.

The need for new trees town wide is great and far out reaches the funding capability of the program. As a matter of fairness and objectivity, a Lottery has been established to select where new trees might be planted. The form should be used in making a request for a new tree. Your request will be entered into the lottery.

Entry applications for the lottery will be accepted until January 29, 2016. Lottery selection and evaluation of selected applications will be completed by March 18. A list of the selected and suitable locations will be announced on March 25. All selections and evaluations are final. Tree planting will begin thereafter with a completion goal of mid-June.
