Holiday wreaths to be sold by Venture Scouts to fund their summer 2018 trip
The annual Boy Scouts of America Wreath Sale is kicking off. And the teen co-ed Venture Crew Scouts of Milton are taking advance orders now for the holiday wreaths. The scouts from Venture Crew 3 Milton will deliver those pre-ordered wreaths to your door Thanksgiving weekend if you are in the Milton area and immediate vicinity.
The scouts range in age from 14 to 20. Dressed in their dark green uniform shirts, they will be canvassing Milton neighborhoods in the coming weeks. The fresh undecorated 12” wreaths cost $12. If you like a larger wreath, the scouts will also be selling undecorated 18” wreaths for $17. Fully-decorated 12” wreaths cost $25. Also being sold are holiday log baskets or $24 and a decorated kissing ball for $28.
If a Crew 3 Milton scout has not yet made it to your door, you can place wreath orders by sending an email to [email protected]. Please include your name, address and telephone number.
In addition, the Venture Crew scouts will be standing out selling wreaths on Saturday & Sunday 11/25, 11/26, 12/2 and 12/3 from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. outside of Starbucks on Adams Street, East Milton and at Mackie’s Barber Shop on Central Ave., Milton, until supplies last.
The Crew will use proceeds raised from this sale toward supplies needed for their upcoming summer 2018 trip to the BSA Florida National High Adventure Sea Base program. The scouts were lucky enough to have been selected through a lottery system to qualify for this adventure where they will be living and working on a sailboat for a week off the shores of the islands of St. Thomas and St. John in the Caribbean.
