The top three highest converting social media posts – Small Business Corner

What types of social media posts convert best, so that you can spend more time on your business and less time on social media?

In the fast-paced world of social media marketing, I’ve learned that crafting posts that truly engage and convert audiences is the key to maximizing my online business presence.

It can be really difficult to nail down the “perfect social media posts” – because just when you do, the algorithm, people’s preferences, or Mercury being in retrograde (ha ha!) changes the game again.

As I write this article, I’d like to share three examples of highest converting social media posts:

1. Compelling storytelling

One of the most powerful techniques I’ve employed to capture attention and inspire action is through the art of compelling storytelling. When I weave a captivating story into my social media posts, I create an emotional connection with my audience, fostering a sense of relatability and empathy.

Here is an example: A skincare company might tell a heartfelt story about a customer’s struggle with self-confidence due to acne, and how their skincare product transformed this person’s life. Through a combination of before-and-after images, testimonials, and personal anecdotes, the company evoked emotions and provided tangible evidence of their product’s effectiveness.

The result? A surge in brand loyalty and conversions, as followers turned into customers, eager to experience the life-changing effects themselves. These types of stories can be told in written form and further emphasized through short video forms, like Facebook or Instagram reels or TikTok videos of strong testimonials.

(Admit it, you pay more attention to the “real people” reels!)

2. Interactive contests and giveaways

These are just TOO tempting for users to resist – and can be used to engage and convert!

Humans have an inherent desire to win and be rewarded, and you can tap into that inclination through interactive contests, giveaways, and polls. For example, people LOVE to vote in the Milton Neighbors Choice Awards because it gives them a chance to be a part of a town-wide fun competition for Milton’s best businesses.

By organizing well-planned contests, you can encourage your followers to actively engage with your brand, whether it’s by sharing, tagging friends, voting, participating in a poll, or creating user-generated content.

Here is an example: A fitness brand could launch a contest inviting their audience to post pictures of themselves wearing their apparel while participating in various physical activities, using a specific hashtag like #fitwear or something similar. Not only would this generate excitement and engagement, but it also expands the brand’s reach as participants shared their entries with their own networks.

You’re probably more likely to be interested in a brand if you know your friend recommends it.

The result: Increased brand awareness, significant growth in followers, and ultimately, conversions!

3. Influencer partnerships and testimonials

I’ve come to appreciate the immense power of influencer marketing in today’s digital landscape. Collaborating with influential individuals has proven to be a game-changer for driving conversions.

It’s super important when leveraging these partnerships to be authentic and ONLY recommend products and services that you and/or your chosen influencer truly love.

Here is an example: I purchased the lululemon Studio Mirror in December of 2020. I still use it several times a week and I still think it’s one of the best fitness investments out there. I periodically post articles about how much I love the Mirror on this website and if people purchase the fitness Mirror or app from my articles, I earn a free month’s subscription. Everybody wins and it’s a genuine and authentic experience.

If you have a big fan of your business or product, encourage them to write a testimonial or review – and if you want to take it to the next level, have an influencer partner with you! We offer sponsored stories on this highly-read and influential website which can help you to craft a story to encourage new customers to check out your business. All Milton Scene stories are also shared to all of our social media outlets!

Now, get going on your content!

In my journey through the dynamic realm of social media, I have discovered three types of posts that consistently drive conversions:

  • Compelling storytelling creates emotional connections and fosters brand loyalty.
  • Interactive contests and giveaways tap into the human desire for rewards and generate engagement while expanding brand reach.
  • Influencer partnerships and testimonials leverage credibility and reach to directly drive conversions.

By implementing these successful social media post strategies, I’ve seen measurable results and achieved higher conversion rates.

Now armed with these insights, you, too, can chart your path to success in the ever-evolving digital marketplace.

I hope you find these tips helpful!
