Random Review Wednesday: Kids adjustable ice skates for the two-year win

I have a bunch of kids and their feet are always growing and it’s kindof annoying how often I have to replace their footwear.

So I was pretty pumped to find out that *adjustable ice skates exist.*

I was admittedly skeptical of how this could possibly work. Yet willing to give it a shot!

So I took a chance and ordered some Lake Placid Summit Adjustable Ice Skates. They come in a range of kids’ sizes from 10-13, 1-4, and 5-8.

And if you have multiple kids, these extra handy for passing down.

The style is also fantastic and as far as ice skates go, relatively easy to get on your kids’ feet. Yes, people, I’m talking NO LACES here. Velcro and buckles only.

And they are easy to resize!

I was fully prepared for an allen wrench and unclear instructions battle, but it’s actually as simple as pushing a button and stretching the skate out or pushing it back in to decrease the size. It takes about 10 seconds – plus whatever additional time you need to get the sizing right. And they work great for kids with wide feet, too because they have more of a hockey shoe design.

These truly lasted two years for us. The cost is about the same as regular ice skates, so this works out to a half price deal.

So if you just discovered that your kids’ skates don’t fit (I feel your pain, truly), give these a whirl. You won’t be disappointed!
